Satechi Dual Dock Stand

The Dual Dock Stand changes the shape of a docking setup. Instead of placing another box beside the computer, it sits beneath the laptop and combines an inclined stand with an enclosure for separately purchased storage. That makes the physical fit as important as the connection list.

Consider it for

  • A compatible laptop needing an inclined docking stand
  • Keeping separately purchased SSD storage at the desk

Check before buying

  • Requires the correct dual-USB-C host layout
  • SSD and laptop power adapter are additional purchases

Two host connections are part of the design

This is a dual-USB-C device. Satechi calls for compatible ports on the appropriate side of the laptop, so check their position and the short cable reach before assuming it will work on another computer. A single available USB-C port is not enough evidence for the complete advertised configuration.

Check the exact configuration and included power supply.

Choose one of the supported screen pairs

The manufacturer describes two external monitors using both HDMI sockets or a specified HDMI-and-DisplayPort pairing. The arrangement supports up to dual 4K60 on appropriate hosts. Exact Mac native display limits still apply; a second physical video cable cannot create an additional native display stream. Confirm the complete host model rather than relying on a broad MacBook label.

Decide whether integrated storage helps

The underside enclosure accepts compatible M.2 NVMe or SATA storage, with the drive purchased separately. Think about whether that drive should stay with the desk or travel with you before committing to an integrated enclosure. Host charging is specified up to 75W, and the listed box contents do not include a laptop power adapter. Ethernet and mixed-speed USB connections complete the desk functions, but the two-port host design keeps this product outside our simplified automatic matcher.
