Consider it for
- Windows workstations with several independent displays
- Desks needing card readers and many USB connections
Check before buying
- Not a DisplayLink dock or four-workspace Mac solution
- Complex native display groups require exact host confirmation
This model does not use DisplayLink
Satechi explicitly distinguishes the Multimedia Pro from its separate DisplayLink dock. The Multimedia Pro uses native video, with MST enabling its larger Windows screen count. Installing DisplayLink software will not transform these outputs into software-driven display connections or remove a computer’s native limits.

Check on AmazonFour Windows outputs are not four Mac workspaces
The manufacturer describes up to four 4K60 external screens on Windows with suitable GPU and hardware support. Its Mac arrangement provides at most two independent external streams, and some hosts support fewer. Extra connected screens can mirror those streams. Check both the laptop’s supported arrangement and the dock’s output grouping before choosing monitor cables.
Give the supporting connections equal attention
The specified hardware includes two HDMI and two DisplayPort sockets, 2.5GbE, card readers, several USB speed tiers and 96W host charging from the supplied 135W adapter. Reserve the faster USB connections for devices that can benefit from them. A rubber stand supports a vertical placement option, which may change where cables need to run. We exclude this model from simple automatic matching until its Thunderbolt-plus-MST display groups can be evaluated for your exact screen request.
