Consider it for
- A USB-C accessory collection with one HDMI screen
- Users wanting a compact 10Gbps data hub
Check before buying
- Shared 12W accessory power budget
- No USB-A, Ethernet, or card reader built in
Map the power connection before counting free ports
One USB-C socket has the Power Delivery input role, while three additional USB-C connections expand the peripheral side. Plan where the laptop charger enters the hub; a five-port headline should not be interpreted as five unrestricted data-device connections plus charging.
Check the exact configuration and included power supply.
Check on AmazonFast data does not mean unlimited accessory power
Belkin lists up to 10Gbps data and 12W shared output across the USB-C ports. Several bus-powered devices can therefore need more careful planning than the individual connector count suggests. A drive with its own power supply poses a different power demand from several devices drawing everything through the hub.
The monitor connection is the HDMI socket
The HDMI 2.0 output supports one display up to 4K60 on a compatible host. If your screen requires USB-C video, do not assume an ordinary data socket substitutes for that HDMI path. There is also no Ethernet connection or card reader. This is a good candidate only when that focused port mix matches the desk; otherwise compare a broader hub before adding multiple adapters around it.
