Those details help distinguish the dock from an earlier G5 or a marketplace bundle whose added cable does not create another model.

Windows 10 and 11, macOS, Linux, ThinPro and ChromeOS appear in HP’s operating-system list, but that is not a universal feature guarantee. Power-button behavior, wake, MAC-address pass-through, firmware management and Quick Connect depend on the exact HP or third-party host and its support. Confirm those functions in HP’s compatibility information if they are the reason for buying the dock.
